So going to be speaking at the next 360 Flex conference! Woo Hoo!
I have to say that the 360 conferences just keep getting better and better. The speakers are top notch the attendees are awesome and the guys who run it….well they are Tom and John and badass too! hehe

Hands down probably the best Flex based conference out there.

The basics of my session are below:

Advanced Video Streaming and Management Techniques with Flex and the Flash Media Server

This session will be a deeper dive look into the capabilities and how-to for
some of the more advanced audio/video streaming capabilities available with the
Flash Media Server and how to integrate them with Flex. We will explore
concepts such as dynamic bandwidth detection and monitoring, multi-bitrate
video streaming, multi-point publishing, some of the other exciting new
features of FMS3 and tips and tricks for developing and debugging streaming
media applications. [I may be able to show some other stuff that I can't talk a
lot about now that should be maybe be available around that time – can't
guarantee anything – as it gets closer can let you know]

To register – as you should – go here!

So I just got back after a couple days visiting the Adobe HQ is San Jose, CA for the Adobe Community Summit. This was the first time I attended this summit although I have been a User Group manager for 3-4 years. All in all it was a great event and glad I attended. The quality and devotion of the attendees (mostly all UG Managers, ACE, or Champions) was amazing, and the speakers from Adobe were top notch as well. I also had the chance to meet a good handful of the other Community Advisory Board Members for the Flash Media Server and had a great time talking with them. We had great networking and collaborative discussion time amongst the members, and received some great insight from Adobe on whats to come and what part we can play. Big thanks goes out to Edward Sullivan for all hes done managing the crazy band of User Group Managers and the likes for years now. He is moving on to bigger better devnet type things and will be missed. Also thanks to all the other, old and new Adobe peoples who made the event possible. I wish I could talk about some of the great stuff I saw but alas the term NDA comes to mind and makes me quiet. However I will say it is going to be an exciting year.
